Entry to this event is limited to 1,800 registrants in our first year so we may provide our guests with a high quality destination running experience. You may enter the half marathon (individual or team) distance or the 2-person relay. You must be able to complete the 13.1 mile distance (individually or as a 2-person relay team) in 3 hours 30 minutes, keeping a 15:30 per mile pace or better.

Your team captain must first register your team name and establish a password to be used by subsequent team members. Teams must consist of a minimum of 6 members by the time registration closes to qualify as a team. Runners may be any combination of male or female. Runners must all complete the half marathon distance and will be timed individually. Your team times are handicapped by gender and age and scored by taking the top 5 handicapped times to produce a cumulative score. Awards are given to the top two teams. If you do not have 6 members by the time registration is sold out, your team will be voided and you will be charged $10 to be move to the individual category.
The 2-person relay allows you to split the distance with a family member or friend. Run the first 5.8 miles to Abbey Rd. Farm or the second 7.3 mile leg into Carlton. Your team time is recorded by combining the two times. Transportation to and from the relay start areas is provided. Awards are given to the top relay teams in the following categories (male/male, female/female and co-ed).
If you are an elite runner please email the race director at matt@destinationraces.com with your running resume and request. You must be able to compete for a top 3 overall finish in the Men's or Women's open division of the half marathon. If approved, an elite entry form will be emailed to you.
West Coast Bank will be awarding $2,000 in cash (500/300/200) to the top 3 men and women overall, plus special large format wine bottles, and other prizes. The overall winners will be awarded the Winer's Trophy (engraved decanter) plus $500 in cash, a 3L large format bottle of wine, and a Ball Watch (total value of over $3,000). The top 3 finishers in each age division 21+ receive a bottle of wine. The top two teams and the top relay team in each of the three gender categories receive awards (wine, etc.)
A logo'd wine glass good for the post-race wine tasting is included in the entry fee. Runners may purchase an extra logo'd wine glass with tasting for a family member or guest. The cost is $15 online. If still available, you may also purchase them in person at the post-race festival for $20. Be prepared to show ID at the wine glass booth. $20. Thursday September 2nd from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Avalon Hotel and Spa. If you wish to pick up your packet on Thursday evening in Portland you may sign up for our early packet pickup party to include wine tasting, appetizers, music, and guest speaker. You must sign up on line and pay for this option. Your packet will be available at the expo and then again on race day at the start area if you signed up for, but missed the previous pickup options.

There are a number of additional events scheduled from Thursday through Sunday. These events are listed on the Event Schedule page. Most of them require a paid reservation so be sure to sign up in advance on the registration page under Race Extras. Most events have a limit on attendees and will sell out. Our Race dinner at the Allison Inn & Spa features guest speaker Dane Rauschenberg and emcee Whit Raymond and is limited to 80 people so sign up now. Sign up for activities and extras
Refunds are allowed up until 90 days prior to the race with a $15 processing fee. NO refunds are allowed after that date. You must email us at raceinfo@destinationraces.com to request a refund. You may transfer a registration up until the end of the expo for a fee of $20. The person replacing you must fill out the form with payment and provide your confirmation number on the form. Transfers made within 30 days of the event will not be reflected online and must be done at the expo and race bibs will not be personalized. Email us to receive a transfer application if 30 days or more prior to the event.
If you cannot attend the race and to not transfer your bib or pickup your packet, please notify us at least 3 days prior to the race and we will you are allowed to apply 50% of your entry fee to another Destination Races Wine Country Half Marathon. Please email registration@destinationraces.com when registration is open for a mail-in entry form to your race of choice to apply your credit.
If you are registered for the half marathon and you and another registered participant would like to switch to the 2-person relay you may ask to be transferred. If within 30 days of the race we'll do our best to accommodate you at the expo if any bibs are left.
